CIBC has three major businesses. These businesses are retail and business banking, wealth management, and wholesale banking.
As of 2019, CIBC boasts 10 million clients, ~45000 employees, 1024 banking centers, and 3075 ATMs.
CIBC is considered to be one of Canada’s Five Big Banks.
In 1961, The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce was formed through the merger of the Canadian Bank of Commerce and the Imperial Bank of Canada.
CIBC supports many communities across the country including the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, CIBC Run for the Cure, the CIBC Children’s Foundation, CIBC Youth Vision, and the United Way.
