Usually takes approximately a month to finalize the land title/ registration, then your mortgage should be paid off at that point. If there is a mortgage, the cheque would send directly to your bank to pay out the mortgage and the rest will be deposited to your bank account. If there is no mortgage, the lawyer will send cheque directly to you or your bank, whichever you agreed at the beginning. I would check with the lawyer office again more closer to the end of august. |
