▌加拿大奥委会：不会参加2020年东京奥运会
当地时间3月22日，加拿大奥委会（COC）和残奥会（CPC）宣布，加拿大代表团将不会参加2020年夏季奥运会和残奥会。
“While we recognize the inherent complexities around a postponement, nothing is more important than the health and safety of our athletes and the world community,“ theCanadian Olympic Committee and Canadian Paralympic Committee said in a joint statement Sunday.
加拿大奥委会和残奥会在22日发布联合声明称：“虽然我们认识到推迟举办奥运会的复杂性，但没有什么比运动员和国际社会的健康和安全更重要。”
“This is not solely aboutathletehealth —it is aboutpublic health.“

The Australian Olympic Committee\“s executive board met by teleconference Monday and unanimously agreed that an Australian Olympic team could not be assembled given the changing circumstances across the world, the committee said in a statement.澳大利亚奥委会执行委员会当地时间23日举行了一轮紧急电话会议，执行委员一致认为，鉴于目前快速变化的全球形势，澳大利亚无法组建一支代表团参加今年的奥运会。
The committee also said “our athletes now need to prioritize their own health and of those around them, and to be able to return to the families.“
奥委会还表示，“目前我们的运动员应当将个人和周围人的健康放在首位，并应当回到家人身边。” ![]()

澳大利亚队东京奥运会代表团团长伊恩·切斯特曼（Ian Chesterman）说：“显然奥运会不可能在7月份举行（It\“s clear the Games can\“t be held in July）。”

▌国际奥委会：4周内决定是否延期
国际奥委会于当地时间22日通过官网发布声明，未来4周内将完成新冠肺炎疫情对东京奥运会影响的评估，届时将作出决定，包括推迟奥运会的可能。 ![]()
“The IOC will ... start detailed discussions to complete its assessment of the rapid development of the worldwide health situation and its impact on the Olympic Games, including the scenario of postponement. The IOC is confident that it will have finalised these discussions within the next four weeks.”国际奥委会将展开详细讨论，并对全球疫情形势的发展及其对奥运会的影响作出评估，其中包括推迟奥运会的情况。国际奥委会有信心在未来4周内完成这些讨论。
国际奥委会同时强调，取消东京奥运会不在议程之上。
The IOCexecutive board emphasised that a cancellation of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 would not solve any of the problems or help anybody. Therefore, cancellation is not on the agenda.国际奥委会执行委员会强调，取消2020年东京奥运会不会解决任何问题，不能帮助任何人。因此，取消奥运会不在议程上。
▌安倍晋三：若不能完整举办奥运将考虑延期
23日上午，日本首相安倍晋三在参议院预算委员会会议上表示，如果不能以完整的形式举办东京奥运会，将不得不考虑延期。
安倍表示，有权取消或推迟奥运会的是国际奥委会，在是否取消东京奥运会这一选项上，自己与国际奥委会想法一致。
If holding the Olympics in its complete form “becomes impossible, we may have no option but to consider postponing the Games, given the Olympics’ principle of putting the health of athletes first”, Japanese Prime MinisterShinzo Abe told parliament on Monday. |
